| Rob Austin, 23, graduated from karts to cars in 1997 finishing 2nd in the Formula Honda series. He then raced in Formula Renault and finished 2nd overall in 1999. In 2002 Rob competed in the British Formula 3 Championship and finished 9th overall, and then won the BRDC Winter F3 Series. In 2003 he continued in British F3 and finished in 7th position after breaking his hand in rugby training and missing eight races. On his return from injury last September at Donington Rob dominated both F3 races and won Round 22 from lights to flag. Rob also finished 8th overall at the 50th Macau Grand Prix. |
