Lewis is the reigning Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Challenge Champion, having dominated the 2003 series by starting from pole in all 14 races and winning 10 of them. His sporting career started on water, and at 9-years old won the Scottish Amateur Waterskiing Championship. At 14 he stopped waterskiing to pursue a career in driving – winning the 1998 Scottish Junior Kart Championship. He moved to cars in 1999, winning the Formula 600 series (in a car prepared by James Pickford’s father, Keith) by scoring 13 podiums in 15 races. Two years in Formula Fords followed in 2000 and 2001, while 2002 was mainly spent finding the funds to contest the 2003 Pirelli Maranello Ferrari Challenge, where he drove a 420bhp Ferrari 360 and tested a Ferrari GT at the end of the year. Lewis is sponsored by The Cobra Group, Europcar, Marsh and The Scottish Motor Option Group.
